Kyosei is the Japanese word for “living and working together for the common good”. It’s about taking care of the society and being part of the community, and running our business in a sustainable way. It lies at the heart of our brand, business and sponsorship activities. KIRKENS BYMISJON | NORWAY

Kirkens Bymisjon

Canon Norway has over years collaborated with The Church City Mission is an inclusive, nonprofit organization, which works in towns and cities across Norway, among people who face challenges in life for various reasons. Although they operate nationally, we have one Canon Business Center that has an expanded partnership with them.

Financial support is involved, but they show a personal commitment, such as collections of used clothes and other activities. In 2020, employees with families put on lots of warm clothes and gave them away before the cold set in.

STIFTELSEN PETTER UTELIGGER | NORWAY

Stiftelsen Petter Uteligger

Instead of a Christmas present from Canon Norway 2020, our employees chose to give the money to the Petter Uteligger Foundation.
In 2014, Petter Nyquist went out into the streets of Oslo and lived there for 3 months - without money and other belongings than the clothes he was wearing.
The result was a documentary and a foundation, based on volunteering, where they make a significant difference, by creating some highlights for people who are, or have had a drug addiction.
It can be anything from haircuts to activities that bring joy.
